It then came back up on another quick scan, and also when I did a full scan.ĭue to my situation I cannot have any 'holes' in my system, regardless of the type of potential exposure. I clicked on the box and it came up again, I clicked on the box a second time and it went away. Yesterday when I did a quick scan a box came up indicating 'windows host process (rundll32) has stopped working'. I did this about three days ago, and all has been well with NIS 2009. However, I eventually went to the 32 bit Vista Ultimate due to some program incompatibilities. I have had Vista Ultimate 64 bit up and running for some time, and then had the NIS 2009 framework issue, that seemingly got resolved, and thank you Symantec for fixing that problem. You have to disable the tracking cookies option. There is a temporary solution around this issue, as it happens during the scan of the Safestrip. I have just updated from NIS 2008 to NIS 2009, and during both modes-Full and Quick-the Windows rundll.32, crashes.
